ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1987 DYLAN & THE DEAD Iconic image by Herb Greene for the very special Dylan & The Dead Tour in 1987. NUMBER # 218 / 265 Size: 26 x 26 - 30 x 30 framed Sepia tone edition PENCIL NUMBERED AND HAND SIGNED BY HERB GREENE. PROFESSIONALLY FRAMED USING CONSERVATION METHODS. The provenance of this piece is that it belongs to Tom Kennedy. His first Grateful Dead concert was in 1967 and has been to 200 shows. Tom spent most of his professional career managing radio stations. He met all the band members several times. Once he swam laps in the pool at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead one lane over from Garcia himself! He was one of the first stations to play alt country and Americana mixed in with regular format. Tom spent the last five years of his career managing a AAA/Americana station in the Appalachian Mountains that played everything from Grateful Dead to Doc Watson. I had the honor of meeting Tom and he's a remarkably interesting man and a true deadhead.
