The Who / Grateful Dead / more Bill Graham 1968 Fillmore West Poster
This listing is for an eye-popping piece of 1968 Rock & Roll History. An Aug 13 - Aug 25 1968 Fillmore West Poster, The Who - Grateful Dead - Creedence Clearwater Revival - James Cotton - Magic Sam - It's A Beautiful Day - Albert Collins - Kaleidoscope - Quicksilver Messenger Service - Spooky Tooth and Cold Blood. This is a 1st (and only) Edition, MINT Condition, Bill Graham poster BG133, printed before the show. The colors are brighter than they appear in the photo. I just find myself thinking "WoW" every time I walk by it. It is a double-sized poster advertising four consecutive Fillmore West mid-week and weekend concerts. A triptych in design, Rick Griffin used hand-drawn color plates to make 3-D images project from the background, and the frames of the panel appear to be insect legs. It is twice the size of most other BG posters. It has been beautifully framed / matted (31 1/2" x 25 1/2") with acid free backing and UV blocking antiglare glass. All in all, just a primo addition to anyone's Rock & Roll collection. The item "The Who / Grateful Dead / more Bill Graham 1968 Fillmore West Poster" is in sale since Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
