This is a 1st Print Original Handbill for the March 19, 1966 Acid Test at Carthay Studios, on Pico Blvd in Los Angeles - Measures approx. 8 1/2" by 11" on Pink Pastel thin stock paper. It is in Good+ Condition with some minor issues. This handbill has seen better days and it's in rough shape, but it's intact and presentable. That being said, it happens to be the only one in the world known to exist, of this variant. The item looks more faded from the true color than it actually is. This paper may have been day-glo originally. I obtained this handbill from its original owner back in 2009. This item has been shown to Dennis King, of D. King Galleries in Berkeley, one of the most serious and professional Rock Concert Poster enthusiasts in the world. Dennis is also an expert in Inks and paper.

Dennis concluded the item was 100% real, without question. As well, I personally guarantee this item to be Original and from the actual acid tests. These were made very inexpensively, while the Pranksters were traveling on the Bus, doing lots of drugs. They were not regarded as being very special at the time.

They served a purpose and were done with. These were saved for over 50 years by a man who attended many of these events, and he didn't do the very best job taking care of them over the years, and this could be added to the fact that the handbills were hand crafted to begin with. This is a very serious piece of psychedelic music history. Don't miss out, it is literally the only one of this kind known so far. This is a Great Investment Item.
