In this sale we are offering a true piece of Acid Test/Grateful Dead history. The legendary San Francisco State Acid test, otherwise known as What Ever it is was held on September 30 October 2, 1966. This was the last true Acid Test. LSD was declared illegal within a couple of weeks, and the Pranksters held the Acid Test Graduation a month later. When examining this lot, you are truly holding "history in your hands".

The condition of this Original Pre-Concert First Printing is unimprovable and superb in every way. The flyer is 100% original with no restoration of any kind. The flyer exhibits super fresh white paper, razor sharp corners and is free from all nicks, cuts, tears or pinholes! This was the last psychedelic Acid Test event before LSD was made illegal in California (in October 1966).

Nicknamed Whatever It Is or The X Handbill, represents oodles of history both the Grateful Dead and head Merry Prankster Ken Kesey were there. Not Bill Graham (BG) or Family Dog (FD) but coincides with the start of both of the respective poster series.
