MINT Grateful Dead Janis Joplin 1967 TRIP OR FREAK AOR 2.183 Poster

The "Trip Or Freak" poster image was a collaboration between Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley & Rick Griffin. It was used as art for the posters and handbills for the 1967 Halloween show at Winterland Arena that featured the Grateful Dead, Big Brother & The Holding Co.

Appropriately, it is featured in "The Art Of Rock", plate 2.183. And, in 1991, the three artists silkscreened the poster on a much larger scale than the original (almost twice the size), and put a high quality black matte around the outside of the poster. It measures approximately 23 1/4" x 39 1/2" (including the black matte), and remains in EXCELLENT condition, with some flaws here and there in the outer black border.

All that is left to do is put a black frame around the outer edge, and this will make any room in which it hangs.
