Grateful Dead SF State Cafe ACID TEST Poster RARE 6 Known Original 1st Print
This was a 3-day festival held from Sep. 2, 1966 - Researching How Can We Go Higher? The Grateful Dead appeared with Ken Kesey sneaking into a private booth to broadcast from, considering he was on the run at the time. This was the Last Legal Acid Test with the Graduation being held on Halloween just under a month later, LSD would have become outlawed by then. This is an extremely important poster and considered incredibly rare.

There are only 6 known to exist with the sticker announcing the Grateful Dead. There are 6-8 that exist which do NOT have the sticker. Those are obviously worth considerably less.

This poster will obviously be a very good investment. This one has some minor issues having been hung up to advertise the event, it has pinholes in each corner and a small upper left corner tear missing, as shown in the photos. This does not detract from the appearance of the poster which retains all its original imagery. There are a couple very small creases in that same corner, but this is not noticeable.

Smaller version of this same image. The item "Grateful Dead SF State Cafe ACID TEST Poster RARE 6 Known Original 1st Print" is in sale since Sunday, October 08, 2017.
