JERRY GARCIA BAND CONCERT POSTER From the Del Mar Theater in Santa Cruz, California. Concert date August 19th, 1976.

Poster size is 11" x 17" / Print run was 250. This is the authorized 2nd printing from decades ago. Both printings are on the same paper stock. The difference is the three tiny stars around Jerry's name are red vs. Condition - Poster is in Near Mint condition - No flaws, no issues - will frame up nice. The intricate concert goers pictured in the poster show many famous cartoon and movie characters: Humphrey Bogart, Groucho Marx, Superman, Fred Flintstone, Beatle Bailey, Popeye, Disney's goofy and others from Jim's youth. Artist Jim Phillips was born in San Jose, Ca. Oct, 1944, Phillips has lived most all his life in Santa Cruz, Ca. His first published work was in the spring issue of Surfer Quarterly, 1962, his "Woody" a winner of a 1961 surf car cartoon contest in the magazine.

His surf art appeared in many surfing publications during the 1960s. In 1965 and 66 he attended California College of Arts and Crafts, in Oakland.
