A Grateful Dead/Jefferson Airplane "Sore Thumb" Poster Designed by Alton Kelley for their March 15-17, 1968 concerts at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco. The Carousel Ballroom was a short-lived venue started in 1967 by the Dead and Jefferson Airplane, along with other Bay Area bands. Later in 1968, Bill Graham took over the venue and it became known as the Fillmore West. This would be the ultimate gift for a Deadhead or Jefferson Airplane fan. The poster was designed by the famous Alton Kelley.
The show dates are March 15, 16, 17 at the Carousel Ballroom which would later be taken over by Bill Graham and become Fillmore West. It has no holes, it was never hung but its not perfect. It has been stored indoors since 1968 and was part of a collection of GD fan.This is an original poster from 1968 that has never been hung super rare.
