Grateful Dead European Tour 1978 Rainbow Theater Egypt Concert Poster

In 1978, the Grateful Dead played three nights at the Sound & Light Theatre in Gizeh, Egypt. Phil Lesh was instrumental in planning the trip, with the band playing near the Spinx and Great Pyramid.

The band planned to record all three nights for a live album, but after technical issues the first two nights, decided against it (they would release an album and DVD from the useable songs 30 years later). Although this particular poster comes from the Hatch Show Printers archives, we are unaware of the Dance Arena location.

If anybody knows of its whereabouts, please let us know. This original poster, measuring 20 x 30, is on semi-glossy paper stock. This is a beautiful poster that has become highly collectible.
