Offered for sale is a very cool and whimsical print by David Welker entitled The Calling of Saint Jerry. A 5 color hand-embellished metallic screen print. #15 of only 40 produced. It is signed and numbered by the artist and remains in mint condition. Screen printed on 100# French Madero Beach paper, it measures about 16" x 20".

Inspired by Caravaggio's "Calling of Saint Matthew, " the tale. Goes that Jerry Garcia was partying in a midtown hotel with a stripper, a pro wrestler and a Vegas card shark & playing a borrowed cello when a couple evangelists burst into the room and tell him he must repent and follow Christ. That's the story and I'm sticking to it!
