"Aid the End of Marijuana Prohibition" - 1966 Concert Poster Original flyer for the 1966 benefit concert for the legalization of marijuana, an early show for the recently-formed San Francisco bands The Grateful Dead and The Charlatans. Sponsored by LeMar, the first marijuana reform advocacy group, the show took place at California Hall in San Francisco on May 29, 1966. The nineteenth-century-styled poster, printed in green with very classy typography, quotes A Midsummer Night's Dream ("What fools these mortals be") at the head.
