There is some ink scumming at top from the printer. As far as I know they all have this. This is the alternative handbill for the Dance Macabre poster I have listed. This is a lot harder to find. Not very many of these around. None listed anywhere for sale that I know of. Probably put up around campus the day of the show. Grateful Dead and Country Joe and the Fish. Ruth Garbell was born in San Francisco in 1946. She attended schools in San Franciso through high school.She was a prolific artist in the 1960s-1970s. She had 2 solo art shows at U. One in 1967 and another in 1968. At 21 she had a solo show at Edward Lesters Gallery in San Francisco.
685 Sutter St in 1967. She did many designs for rock posters and handbills in the 1960s. She also produced some large litho art prints.
Some of her art prints and paintings were inspired by looking at cells in the electron microscope. They have a Bob Fried like feel to them. Very organic with bright vivid colors.
