With Union Logo #72 in bottom right corner. Posters and handbills/postcards from a great collection. Rick Street was born and raised in the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area. In 1967, he entered a partnership with artist Garry Knox Bennett to run the business side of a nationally distributed roach clip, pipe and jewelry manufacturing business, Squirkenworks, in Oakland, CA. During this time, when he lived in Berkeley, he attended many rock concerts and collected over 50 posters, and many handbills, advertising concerts held at Bill Grahams Original Fillmore, Winterland, and at Chet Helms Family Dog Avalon Ballroom, all in San Francisco.
Most of the posters were thumbtacked and displayed for a few years, then stored in portfolios for the past 45 years. Original handbill/flyer measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", on normal stock paper. Flyer has very light dinging, else in VERY FINE condition. International buyers, please choose First Class International, or Priority.
