Offered for sale is a really nice 1st print poster for a March 28, 1981. Concert in Essen, Germany featuring. The Who and Grateful Dead. Pete Townshend joined the Dead for a few tunes late in their second set, and the show also has one of my all-time favorite performances of Shakedown Street. Remains in outstanding NM/Mint condition.
As this is a large poster (about 23" x 33") on fairly thin stock, it is in better condition than most. Colors are fresh and vivid. It is professionally framed: double-matted (acid-free of course), using archival hinges and protected by UV-resistant museum glass. Only top-of-the-line, expensive materials were used in the framing of this popular poster.
The framed dimensions of this piece are about 33.5" x 43" - big! Looks absolutely terrific hung on the wall. >>> About my posters: none of them have pinholes, none were framed to intentionally hide imperfections, none had any restoration done, and all are NM/Mint unless otherwise specified. I'm very picky about condition, as I'm sure you are.
I do my best to describe the poster as accurately as possible and will point out any flaws that I can see. Thanks for looking and good luck! >>> Please check out my other items for hard to find (or one-of-a-kind) artistic representations of the good ol' Grateful Dead, many of which you won't see anywhere else! - Every Grateful Dead poster or artwork item I sell is from my personal collection: no consignments or 3rd party merchandise. All items are maintained in the best.
