BAND OWNED Grateful Dead FD101 Poster Rick Griffin 1st print 1967 Haight Ashbury

Offered here is a first print FD101 poster. Aside from being one of Rick Griffin's finest moments, this is a true one of a kind rarity! This very poster hung on the wall in the Grateful Dead house at 710 Ashbury in San Francisco.

I acquired this poster from Rock Scully who was the Dead's manager in the early days, with a handwritten letter of provenance from Scully, written on Grateful Dead letterhead, you also get a signed COA. This poster is rare enough on it's own, the very poster that hung in the Dead house makes it a one of a kind Grateful Dead artifact from the 1960's. There can only be one and this is it! This is a true first printing which has been authenticated by Eric King on the back of the poster.

A very nice example as pictured. The accompanying photo shows the members of the Dead on the steps of 710 Ashbury in 1967. The man sitting at Jerry's feet is Rock Scully, the window to the left where the woman is sitting is the front room where this very poster hung.
