MINT Charlatans Grateful Dead 1967 FD 43 Human Be-In Avalon Ballroom Poster

This is an ORIGINAL/FIRST print poster approx. 14" x 20", and printed prior to the shows that was used to promote a series of shows at the historic Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco.

These shows took place June 13 & 14, 1967, and featured the Charlatans, Moby Grape & Sparrow this band would evolve into Steppenwolf. The poster also promotes "A Gathering Of The Tribes For A Human Be-In", considered by many to be THE seminal event in the hippie/counter-culture movement Grateful Dead, Airplan, Janis, Timothy Leary... The classic psychedelic sixties image that adorns this poster was designed by Stanely Mouse & Alton Kelly, and is the 43rd image in the Family Dog series. This beautiful poster has been very carefully preserved for over fifty years, and remains in EXCELLENT/FLAWLESS condition.
