Stored flat in acid free sleeve and in archival storage box. Let me know if youd like this. Original/first print silkscreen poster, used to promote the Week Of The Angry Arts West Benefit to fund the Spring Mobilization to End The War in Vietnam. This event took place April 9, 1966 at the Longshoreman's Hall in San Francisco (the Angry Arts East took place the following Saturday in NYC), and featured the Quicksilver Messenger Service, Big Brother & The Holding Co. Country Joe & the Fish & Sopwith Camel. The Grateful Dead were added to the lineup at the last minute, and did perform (this is one of the few that have a sticker on them adding the Dead to the billing). It was their FIRST San Francisco appearance after returning from a brief stint (three months) in Los Angeles. This is one incredibly detailed psychedelic image, and the artist's name is scratched into the red ink in the lower right corner.... But nobody has ever been able to figure out exactly who it is. Nonetheless, it is still featured in "The Art Of Rock", plate 2.193. The bottom line is, this poster looks VERY nice, and would frame mint.
