Original Grateful Dead Camp Randall Field House Poster 1971. An exceptionally rare poster for the Grateful Dead concert held on March 14, 1971 at the Camp Randall Field House, Madison, Wisconsin. We all know how overplayed the word'rare' is when associated with posters, so to give you an example of how carefully I use it, this is one of only two known examples of this poster and the other example is displayed at the Wisconsin Historical Society museum archives. (Those familiar with my collection know that I have many very rare posters but I do not think I have any rarer than this one). Black and white pen and ink drawing artwork featuring Jerry Garcia with a mandala design around him sponsored by the Wisconsin Students Association.

Dimensions are 15.75" x 22.125". Apparently there were only a few hundred in attendance, which makes sense why I have only been able to locate 2 posters! Condition Report: This poster appears to have been pulled off the wall at the show and the damage has been professionally restored where it now shows beautifully.

There has been no image restoration and work has been limited to corners and edges. On the verso there are tape pulls thinning the paper behind the word'Fieldhouse' but this is not to be confused with restoration of the image.
